What I Think About My Topic Now

After doing a little resarch on the Baltimore Ravens I found out some new things i didn't know before. I found out is that the Ravens got thier name from the poem "The Raven" by Edger Allen Poe. I found that we are 1-0 in Super Bowl apperances. One out of 4 teams that has solo Super Bowl apperances and won in them. I think i chose a good topic for my research because i already knew alot about the Ravens and i got to find out more about them.

In this photo it shows #52 Ray Lewis holding the news paper with it saying "Ravens Win". Ray Lewis was name Super Bowl MVP in the stuning 34-7 win over the New York Gaints. It shows how exicted he is and wearing a Ravens super bowl championship t-shirt.

The year 2006 was our best season to date. We had just signed Quaterback Steve McNair which set up our great season. Our first games wasnt much of a contest as we beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27-0. The next game was just the same as we beat the Oakland Raiders 28-6. The next 2 games we tuff as we barly pull though as we beat the Browns 15-14 after hitting a 52 yard field goal. Then we barly pull though against the San Diego Chargers as McNair found TE Todd Heap in the endzone from ten yards out to win 16-13. The following week we would lose to the Broncos 13-3. Things would only get worse as Quaterback Steve McNair would suffer a early concussion and we lost the game to the Panthers 23-20. Steve McNair would return a week later, and would pass for two touchdowns and run for another in an impressive 35-22 win over the New Orleans Saints, after that we would win 5 stright. Then we would lose against the Bengals 13-7. After the lose against the Bengals the Ravens hot offence and defence would come though and win 4 in a row. The Ravens would win their divison and go to play the Colts in the playoffs and we ended up losing 15-6. Ending our best season ever.

2008 was a year in Baltimore that the fans were a little worried. At the end of the 2007 season we hired rookie head coach John Harbuagh. Then during the draft that year we picked up rookie quaterback Joe Flacco. Joe Flacco lead Baltimore into the season strong as we beat rivial Bengals 17-10. The Ravens went on to play the Texans and the Browns. The Texans game was canceled due to hurricane Ike. We went on and beat the Browns. Then the Ravens real test was when we played the Steelers on MNF. The Ravens were winning by the half-time 17-3. But the Steelers came back and won in overtime 23-20. The rest of the season was pretty easy as the Ravens went on to be 11-5. We got all the way to the AFC championship game and lost to the Steelers ending our season.
